Our founders, Rachel Rubin and Annie Dycus, are veteran teachers with over 25 years of classroom experience, two Master of Education degrees, and a deep understanding of early childhood development. They're also moms, caregivers, tutors, and lifelong learners who believe in the power of play to unlock the deepest and most meaningful learning.

We use eight core categories to highlight the learning in each of our read & play activities: literacy, science, math, sensory, large motor, fine motor, social emotional, and critical thinking. Every card includes a “Why Play This Way” section so you can easily understand the learning behind the fun. We also use simple icons to clearly show the skills each activity supports. Not at all. We keep it simple on purpose. Each Play Pack includes one beautiful book and three reusable Activity Cards—no junk, no throwaway items. Instead of sending more “stuff,” we offer open-ended experiences that make the most of what you already have and invite your little one to create, imagine, and play again and again.

Play Packs are flexible. Use them on a rainy day, during playdates, with a babysitter or grandparent, on the weekend, or when you need 10 minutes to yourself. They’re perfect for meaningful moments of connection, or for encouraging independent play that feels fresh, fun, and screen-free.

Our materials are intentionally open-ended and designed for multi-age fun.
