Take a moment to experience the dark.
- What can you see?
- Count to 10. Is it getting easier to see?
Turn on your flashlight & go on your own “night walk.”
- What looks different now?
Use your flashlight to find the page in The Night Walk where the family pauses to "play with the moon.”
- Notice: The moon, the flashlight, & the reflections are all circles.
Find things around you that are circular like the moon.
- Can you find big & small circles?
- Which room has the most circles?
Shine your flashlight in a mirror.
- Does the reflection look like the one in the book?

Cut out the printed images from The Night Walk and hide them around your space.
Go on a hunt to find the images with your flashlight.
Take out your book and match each found image to its illustration.
Optional: Set the book aside and arrange the images in sequential order to correspond with the journey in The Night Walk.
