- Place fruit in a large tray of water (or an ice cube tray) and leave it overnight in the freezer. The next day, enjoy exploring the beautiful colors as you touch the cold and slippery ice.
- Lay out a large sheet of water-absorbent paper. Place your colorful ice on top and wait for it to melt a little bit. Then, spread and smear your natural dye on your paper to discover the creative magic that you can make with icy food.

Why Play This Way?
When you freeze items in ice, you freeze time a little bit too. Because the frozen item is static and almost magnified, your little one will examine their food more closely while experiencing a chilly sensory experience that is bound to delight. Since they won’t be able to touch the yummy items inside the ice for a while, this activity will extend playtime while making the food even more irresistible.
