Grocery Assistance; Aisle 4
- Strengthen your large motor skills by lifting and transporting melons, grapefruits and cantaloupes.
- Add in a small basket, bucket or shower caddy & see how many fruits you can lift.
- Work together to unload the groceries and put them away.
Grub-a-Tub-Tub; Deliver food to the tub!
- Next time you take a bath, try carrying over and then tossing in a few apples, oranges, or fruit of your choice!
- You won’t believe how much fun it can be to watch the fruit bob in the water as you swim and play.
Why Play This Way?
Ready to work out? These “delivery” activities will make your little one proud as they flex their muscles to lift and carry. Children love to transfer items from container to container and from location to location and are building coordination skills as they do so. Putting objects in containers and taking them out again also increases focus and extends your little one’s attention span. Big muscles can be built anywhere and with anything…so why not with food!?
