Ready

  • Several pieces of round fruit (e.g. oranges, grapefruits, clementines, melons, etc.)
  • Ramp materials (e.g. piece of cardboard, cutting board, sofa cushion, etc.)

Set

  • Prop up your piece of cardboard, cushion or cutting board against a sofa, wall, box, or any other object to create an angled ramp. 
  • Place your fruit in a bowl/basket on the floor near your ramp.

Play!

Explore, experiment, have fun!

  • Roll your fruits down the ramp to see how fast and far they go.
  • Play around with the angle of your ramp. 
  • Create two ramps to see what happens when you roll different fruits at the same time. Or, use your two ramps to have a fun fruit race with a friend!
  • Try sending a banana down your ramp. Not only will you have a good laugh you will discover pretty quickly that it’s ‘the round that makes the roll’.
  • The next time you go to the grocery store look for new fruits with rolling potential. Why not try a coconut, guava, or pineapple? (After playing, you might even want to taste them)!

But watch out…it’s simple to make a mark, but easy to be fooled when you are the guesser. When you’re done with the game, keep playing with The Dough Project’s super, all natural, dough.
